Vizinada can also be reached on foot or by bike via the ‘Parenzana’, arguably Istria’s most beautiful cycle route. You’ll be hard-pressed to find Vizinada in travel guides, so make a point of discovering it for yourself. Between the hill on which Vizinada stands and the mountains in the background lies the ancient medieval town of Motovun, whose appearance has scarcely changed in 500 years. The town has remained natural, not carefully repainted to look new. Whilst exploring this little town, you can enjoy the stunning views from the hill over the Mirna Valley and the blue and green hues of Istria. Istria’s breathtaking coastline and the tourist centres of Poreč, Novigrad and Rovinj are within easy reach. Near the villa, you can put your golfing skills to the test: there is a 5-hole practice course in the valley, whilst an 18-hole 5-star course is located in Savudrija. A car is recommended.
