Head to Lake Verkasjön, where you can try your hand at fishing with a fishing licence. At Christinehof Castle, you can learn more about alum mining and its history. In the castle’s nature park, signposted trails bring you closer to nature. You can also visit the glassworks in Norra Bjöstorp, Glimmingehus – a medieval castle – the fascinating Ales Stenar rock formations near Kåseberga, and Forsakar in Degeberga, Skåne’s highest waterfall. In summer, Ystad Zoo and the Tosselilla Sommarland amusement park are also a big draw, especially for children.
