Children will love the many fire engines at the Fire Museum in Odsherred or a visit to Sommerland Sjælland. There are also several golf courses, and the 13th-century Dragsholm Castle – said to be haunted by a white ghost – beautifully situated on Nekselø Bay. Culinary experiences featuring regional produce are also on offer here. Alternatively, visit the many art galleries that characterise Odsherred. Since the Stone Age, the Isefjord has provided the foundation for a diverse coastal culture based on hunting, fishing and seafaring, which has now been replaced by marinas and holiday home areas.
