Hardanger extends from Kvinnherad in the west to Eidfjord in the east and Sorfjorden in the south. The area is set apart by its very dramatic and varied landscape. Mountains, glaciers, rivers and fjords are generously distributed over the beautiful landscape.
If your holiday is to be held in Norway this year you should consider visiting Hardanger. Nature experiences virtually queue up to be had and there are many enjoyable activities for the entire family. You are never far from a big city either. Talk with NOVASOL who rent holiday cottages and holiday villas in the area.
Hardanger is definitely worth visiting at any time of year. During winter it offers abundant skiing possibilities. Cross country skiing is particularly exceptional, and because the area remains relatively undiscovered, the ski runs are wonderfully uncongested.
During summer you’ll find many exceptional sandy beaches along the fjord. The area is generally very child-friendly. Adults must ”make do” enjoying a glass of wine and grilled fish (personally caught?) with a view over some of the most beautiful scenery in the north.
