Activities and experiences
Even though Aarhus is a big city, there are still many experiences for those of you who want to be active in nature. The Botanical Garden is one of the largest and most visited parks in the city. Inside the greenhouse you can explore four different climate zones each of which offers its own selection of impressive plants. The growth houses in the garden have actually won a prestigious architectural award, The International Architecture Award, in 2016. It is therefore not just the plants that impress visitors here.
A little south of the city you will find the Marselisborg Forests, which is a seven kilometre long forest belt along the coast. In the Thorskoven, which is part of the forest area, lies the zoo of Marselisborg, where you can get close to deer, reindeer and wild boar. The zoo is also not far from the beautiful Marselisborg castle which is also definitely worth seeing during your trip.

Furthermore, you can go to the Moesgaard Museum and the Viking Museum. Enjoy the amazing atmosphere in the oldest part of the city, the Latin Quarter or the Åboulevarden, where you can sit in one of the cosy cafés in the heart of the city and watch the world go by.
