It is only a 15 minute drive to the capital of Lanzarote Arrecife, which is well worth a visit while on holiday in a villa in the Canary Islands. The cobbled streets in Arrecife are lined with lots of superb shops and boutiques and you can also visit one of the museums or forts. It is also a great place to relax and enjoy one of the many restaurants or bars. The Pueblo Marinero on the Costa Teguise is the traditional fishing village in the resort and has a nice selection of restaurants, bars and shops and some of the buildings are designed by the island’s influential artist Cesar Manrique. The historic capital of the island, Teguise, is only a short drive away and has quiet cobbled streets and a Sunday market.
