Öland offers a variety: swim in Kalmarsund or in the open sea, visit the haunting castle, Borgholm, admire the pretty summer castle, Solliden of the Swedish royal family and ride on the 40 km long bike path in Böda Ecopark. Because Öland is so flat, Öland is considered the perfect cycling island. The island is so narrow that you can make it to the sea by bike from anywhere on the island! Likewise, don't forget to visit both Sweden's highest lighthouse and the vast World Heritage limestone expanse and heath landscape, Stora Alvaret. Also, cross the six-kilometer bridge to Kalmar.
