Swim in Kalmarsund or in the open fresh sea, visit the spooky castle, Borgholm and the pretty summer castle Solliden and ride on the 40 km long bike path in Böda Ecopark. Öland is incredibly flat and is known as a perfect cycling island. The island is so narrow that you can make it to the sea by bike from anywhere on the island! Sweden's tallest lighthouse, the vast World Heritage limestone expanse and heath landscape, Stora Alvaret, is absolutely worth a visit. Also ride across the six-kilometer bridge to Kalmar.
