Museo-Fundación César Manrique
The César Manrique Museum and Foundation officially opened in 1992 in memory of the deceased César Manrique. Thanks to César Manrique, Lanzarote has remained a peaceful and charming island offering peace, tranquility and relaxation for guests of our self-catering villas in the Canary Islands. The main aim of the museum is to preserve, explore and popularize the works of César Manrique, but also to support the artistic activities which harmonize with the natural surroundings of Lanzarote. The museum is open all year round.
Cueva de los Verdes
The Los Verdes cave was created by an eruption of the Monte de la Corona volcano. It is located in Haría on Lanzarote. Here you will follow a hiking route which is 2 kilometres. The cave is open all year round.
The Canary Islands Museum is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and presents the prehistoric culture of the Canary Islands. The museum has a vast collection of archaeological and ethnographical materials, e.g. 2,000 prehistoric skulls. You can also explore the museum’s extensive library of specialized literature. The museum is open all year round.
Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente, La Palma
Caldera de Taburiente is a national park on the island of La Palma, Canary Islands. It covers an area of 4,690 ha and hosts nature that is typical for this region, e.g. the Canary Islands Pine. There are huge differences in altitudes: 2,000 metres. Slopes look like walls rising 800 metres in the air, and they create unique ravines with streams and waterfalls. The highest points of the island can also be found in the national park: Roque de los Muchachos (2,426 m), Pico de la Cruz (2,351 m), Piedra Llana (2,321 m), Pico de la Nieve (2,236 m) and Punta de los Roques (2,085 m).

The Teide National Park
If you are staying in one of our villas in the Canary Islands, make sure that you visit the Pico Del Teide, a volcano on the island on Tenerife that rises to 3718 metres, making it the highest point in Spain and the third highest volcano on an island in the world. The Volcano and its surrounding area make up the Teide National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the most visited national wonder in Spain. You will also find the Roques De Garcia in the Teide National Park, which are strange rock formations, the most famous being the red rock called Cinchado. This strange landscape has also been used is films such as Star Wars, Planet of the Apes and The Ten Commandments.
National Parks in La Palma and Lanzarote
There are 4 national parks you can visit whilst on holiday in villas in the Canary islands, the Caldera De Taburiente in La Palma and Timanfaya in Lanzarote. The Caldera De Taburiente is one of the largest craters in the world, which measures over 28 kilometres. The crater rises to 2400 metres and is filled with forests and vegetation making this a great place to hike. The Timanfaya National Park is made up almost entirely of lava rock and has remained unchanged for millions of years, even though it is still hot underfoot.
La Palma is a great destination for eco travellers and astronomers because of its fantastic natural landscapes and clear skies which are free of light pollution. One of the most important astrophysics observatories in the Northern Hemisphere are located in La Palma and attracts keen astronomers from all over the world. Keen walkers will also enjoy the challenging trails of Los Tilos, Ruta Del Los Volcanos and hiking up to the highest point at El Roque De Los Muchachos, which rises to 2426 metres.
The Island of El Hierro is the smallest island in the Canaries with just 10,000 inhabitants. It is surrounded by crystal clear waters making it an ideal destination for keen divers to book villas and apartments in the Canaries.
The Dunes of Maspalomas
The Dunes of Maspalomas in Gran Canaria are one of the best places to visit in the Canaries. The dunes stretch 4.5 square kilometres on a natural reserve along the coastline and change every day formed by sand blowing off the Sahara over 250 kilometres away. Cathedral de Las Palmas
The cathedral in Las Palmas is built in a neoclassical style and dates back to the 16th century. The inside of the cathedral is built in a gothic style. This is due to the fact that the construction was interrupted for many years. The cathedral’s palm tree-shaped columns are particular fascinating. You can also visit the diocesan museum located within the cathedral.
Castillo de Santa Catalina
The fortress in Santa Catalina on the eastern side of the island was used to protect the island in the past. The fortress dates back to the 16th century. Since 1961 it has been recognized as a historic and cultural monument. It can only be seen from the outside.
