Alcazaba de Malaga

Another benefit of villas in Costa del Sol is being able to visit the 11th century fortress in Malaga, an Arabic fortified palace built by Moorish sultans. Later, the hillside fortress functioned as the residence of Moorish governors and taifa kings.

Catedral de Malaga

The 16th century cathedral is in the old centre of Malaga and its second tower remains unfinished due to lack funding, giving it the name, La Manquite (One-armed). Inside there are chapels, a charming inner courtyard and private gardens. It is open to visitors all year round (except for Sundays and holidays).

Ronda, which is between Cadiz and Malaga, is divided by the river Guadalevin. Here there are archaeological sites and ancient cave paintings. You should also explore the national park Sierra de Grazalema and Sierra de las Nieves. Enjoy a day trip here from your villas Costa del Sol.

Cueva de Nerja

Find traces of our ancestors in preserved cave paintings, as well as evidence of earthquakes, ancient stalagmites and stalactites and a tomb from 6,300 BC. The cave is open to visitors all year round so visit from your Spanish villas any time.

Fundacion Museo del Grabado Espanol Contemporaneo exhibits a host of Spanish art, ranging from 15th century works to Picasso, Dali Tapies and Miro. Based in the centre of Marbella, this is easy to find from villas Costa del Sol and is open year round (except for Mondays, Sundays and holidays).
