The sea between Piran and Strunjan is a paradise for divers and has both varied animal and plant life as well a few ruins of military ships that were sunk during World War II.

Make the most of the coast

Several of the coastal towns offer diving courses if that is something you may be interested during your stay in your chosen Slovenia accommodation. The Piran Bay is very popular with sailors. There are sailing schools and opportunities for renting sailboats. The major international boat shows Internautica and Izola Boat Show take place every year in Portorož and Izola.
