Description

Beautifully situated on Bakketun, between the national parks of Jotunheimen and Rondane, you will find this holiday home. The home is placed high and free over Sjoa, and with stunning view to the Norwegian mountains. The holiday home provides an excellent starting point for activities from outdoor activities to extreme sports. Recommended is a trip up Gardfjellet. There you can admire view over the three national parks with Dovrefjell as the third. Otherwise, the property is a good base for excursion to Heidal with cultural history, handicrafts and local food of high quality. Also visit Brimiland (famous, norwegian chef) with Brimi forest climbing park, Arne Brimi at Vianvang and Brimi mountain farm with dining and factories. Fishing is possible in rivers and lakes (remember fishing licence), paddle, go on safari, ride, visiting caves, farms or water park in Fron. In winter there are excellent skiing and ideal for cross country skiing and aking just outside the door. A 15 minutes drive to alpine (Jotunheimen Lemonsjø Alpine). If you are coming to the holiday home via E6, you pass The Olympic city of Lillehammer with Maihaugen, and then Hunderfossen family park. In the summer you can drive thespectacular R51 over Valdresflya and through Jotunheimen. A neighbour offers trips with horse and wagon, must be must be agreed with the houseowner in advance of arrival. Same place as N31129 and N31049.
