Description

This attractive pigeonnier with outdoor swimming-pool is situated in the very beautiful and spacious grounds of the friendly, animal loving, English owners home. An exterior stone staircase leads to the accommodation and first floor dining terrace with far reaching views across open countryside. This is an ideal place for couples wishing to explore this delightful area of the Dordogne. The small market town of Lanouaille (2 kms) has banks, bakers and auberge. Payzac 5 kms (supermarket). Places of interest locally include St Meard d'Excideuil 9 kms (Golf 9 holes par 36 course with restaurant and bar). Lac Rouffignac 9 kms (leisure lake with summer beach and bar), Segur-le-Château 10kms (pretty riverside village, restaurants). Excideuil 11kms (Thursday market and château). St Yriex-la Perche 18 kms (lively market town). Montignac 45kms (Famous Lascaux II caves, riverside market town, canoeing). Perigueux 56 kms (cathedral city, Wednesday and Saturday market, all facilities). Sarlat 70 kms (historic medieval town, Saturday and Wednesday markets, all facilities). The owners keep one dog. They also keep ducks and chickens that ensure a good supply of fresh eggs. This holiday house is not suitable for families with young children (aged between 3 and 15). Charging electric cars on the ground is not allowed, there are some recharging points in the village.
