During the winter the island is covered by countless blooming almond trees. If you enjoy bird watching, you will find many different bird species on Majorca, e.g. the Little Egret, Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Eurasian Black Vulture, Greater Flamingo and Balearic Shearwater.
Majorca is a small island with less than 800,000 inhabitants, half of those living in Palma. The locals are very friendly and welcoming.
