Slovakia

Slovakia is varied and offers wild and charming nature, crystal clear lakes, relaxation in health resorts with thermal springs and countless places where history left its numerous traces. Slovakia is a country where the folk art is still alive and evolves.

In the north and middle of Slovakia you will find the Carpathian Mountains with the High and Low Tatra, Lesser and Greater Fatra and Slovak Ore Mountains. Most of all the Tatras offer an alpine landscape for skiing enthusiasts.

In the south Slovakia spreads up to the Hungarian Plain. The longest rivers are the Danube, Hron, Morava, Tisa and Váh. The highest peak is Gerlachovský štít (Gerlach, 2655 meters) which is located in the High Tatras.
