This area offers a lot of fun, not only during the summer. There are huge ski areas in Gorski-Kotar northwest of Rijeki. A holiday rental is the perfect base for a perfect holiday!

Islands

The beauty of the Kvarner islands makes us want to introduce you to a couple of them. Krk is the biggest island and attracts the most tourists. The most popular destinations are Krk and Baška where you will also find the most beautiful beaches. On Cres the freshwater lake Vransko is especially interesting. On Lošinj, you will find a spa and the first Dolphin Reserve in the Mediterranean. The island, Rab, has two very different parts: The eastern side is grey with very sparse vegetation, and the western side is vigorously green and offers plenty of sun, clean air and lavender and sage scents. Pag is well-known for its local goat cheese production and also for its tradition for handmade lace which you can admire during the folklore festival.

Coast, islands, mountains!

Busy tourist towns are located right next to each other on the coast. It is divided into the Opatijska Riviera, the Crikvenica Riviera, the town of Rijeka city and the coast of Senj.

Besides from the town of Opatijska, the Opatija Riviera includes tourist destinations such as the vibrant Lovran, peaceful Mošcenicka Draga, beautiful Ika and hilly Matulji. Rijeka is the principal seaport of Croatia. The Crikvenica Riviera, which is 28 kilometres long, includes the towns of Dramalj, Selce and Jadranovo and the best sand and pebblel beaches where you can enjoy the sun and go for a swim. No other place are the mountains as close close to the sea as by the coast of Senj.
